Lovely 4 night stay at Catkin Lodge, South Lakes. The lodge was beautiful, clean and very homely. Had everything we could have needed to cook with. The lodge was cosy and comfortable for the six of us.
Comfortable accommodation and close to the main roads in the area. I’ve visited the area for the second time in my life and, spite GPS, I had difficulty finding the place. Some more indications in the roads may be useful.
Visited as a family group and took a three bedroom lodge. The park is very well laid out and the the lodge we had was spacious and spotlessly clean. It is well located for visiting the Lakes and the Dales so was perfect for our needs.
The only slight criticism would be the lack of atmosphere in the resort bar but there are ample places to visit within an easy taxi journey.
We had a group of 12 staying in SunnyBank Lodge and Quayles Lodge. Both lodges were beautiful, clean and well maintained. The park itself was gorgeous with views of the lake, the restaurant was well managed and the food was good priced and tasted great. I would definitely recommend staying at South Lakeland Leisure Village and I will be making further visits to this park in the future. Many Thanks
We stayed in Quayles Lodge for three nights and had a lovely time.
The lodge was clean and tidy on arrival, where we were met by Ann who showed us around and explained the necessary info. The lodge is situated on the edge of the lake, and only a minutes walk to the bar & leisure facilities.
We spent most of our time off site as we took our bikes and used the canal/NCN from Carnforth and rode into Morecambe virtually traffic free (7.5 miles each way). There is about 0.5 miles of pedalling along the pavement, but the rest is traffic free, ideal for our son. You can also carry on along the canal and cycle into Lancaster itself.
If you go along the canal I’d recommend stopping in at the Canal Turn pub in Carnforth, it’s lovely, and the food is great. You can walk round the lake on the site, it’s approx 0.7 mile around. We did this several times to go the long way round to to the bar!
We also parked in Morcecambe and walked the 3.5 miles into Lancaster, then got the bus back. Nearby there is also Greenbank Farm, a petting farm, ideal for youngster, less than a mile away from site.
We used the bar a couple of times, and the swimming pool once. Both were as you’d expect, clean and tidy. I have no hesitation recommending the site to anyone, we’ll definitely be returning.
Easy to find as its its 5 mins off the motorway. Bit of a rabbit warren actually getting to our lodge but oh my god when we did, when we opened the door we fell in love. Immaculate modern pretty comfortable the list of descriptive words is endless. It is a Huge Gem of a find
We stayed at lake view lodge. Nice lodge, great view and despite being so close to the motorway very peaceful. A excellent location so close to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Lancashire. The wifi didn’t work and 1 of the double bedrooms was really small but apart from that it was a great place to stay.
Four adults shared Antrim Lodge for a long weekend and found the location to be perfect. Close to the Lake district, North Yorkshire and a wonderful place called Arnside. The site and the Lodge were both clean, tidy and well equiped. We all would use this Lodge again.
